Like mother like daughter

When I was a kid, I never thought about what my wedding dress would be like or how many kids I would have. And, for many years, I swore I would never have children or get married. For almost as long as we’ve known BE, she’s been saying the same thing. Well, she says she’ll never get married, but that she will adopt children. Of course, a lot will change over the next 20 years or so; in fact, I really hope it will. I don’t mind if BE never gets married or has children, as long as that makes her happy and fulfills her. I do mind if she makes such a decision based on fear.  Who knows what her future will look like, and I’m sure the opinions of a 6-year-old have no bearing on it. I just hope that her future won’t be dictated by fear.
